​Revisiting Cuba 24 years later thanks to my photographs

​Returning to Cuba after 24 years.
In 2002, I traveled to Cuba to photograph young Cuban boxers for a short documentary film: EL RING 
As I was there, I walked, camera and tape recorder in hand, the streets of Havana, Trinidad, Santiago de Cuba and Santa Clara. 
i look at certain photos and I remember saying to myself :”Cuba is a very sensuous Island”. I remember listening to the rumba and son played by local musicians on the streets of Havana and Santiago de Cuba.
​Photography is my memory. Photography is my « aide-mémoire ».
My photographs are documents of my life’s journey. These Cuban photos are my instant recall aid.
