In July 2024, I embarked on a « GET LOST » trip from Java to Bali.
This photo of Loske *café in Solo was taken with a Fuji Instax mini Evo.
*Loske is a Javanese expression that means « get lost », « lose yourself ».
LOSKE * is the inspiration for this journey.

​I began my trip in the city of Solo, Central Java,
from where I had  my motorbike
​delivered by train to
​East Java

​Then, I took a train to Surabaya. Executive class. 3 hour ride.

​From Surabaya Gudeng train station,
I took a 7 hour train ride, economic class, to Ketapang station, East Java.​ Sitting straight up,  my knees touching the knees of the passenger sitting in front of me.

​From Ketapang , Java, I crossed over to Bali by ferry.

​Arrived in Bali by ferry.
Hopped on my motorbike and drove on the scenic north road.
I spent a few nights in a hotel in the village of Tejakula,
​a seaside village where the Balinese « farm» sea salt.
