talking, talking      /     Parler pour parler

The man on the left says to me: Mister Carl, where are you going? What are you looking for?
My answer: « I am looking for images».
As I brought my Leica to my eye, I said: « I think I found one. Please look here».

Local Solonese barber  (From The City Of Solo)

Once my hair was cut, I asked the barber to pose for my camera.
« Wait a second », he says to me and throws an apron over his shoulder and
exclaims: « now you can take the photo.»

As I was walking the streets of Solo this man asked me for some cigarettes.
After talking with him for a while, I asked his permission to take his photograph.
I only noticed the tattoo on his forehead when I edited the images on the computer.

The grass lady  / La dame verte

Returning from the field with grass to feed the cows,
this woman almost disappears in the green background.

De retour de son champ avec de l'herbe pour nourrir les vaches,
cette femme se confond presque avec l’arrière plan vert.

Hear-not.  See-not. Say-not.

Saw these three boys sitting on a bench in a Jakarta alley.
Making gestures with my hands and pointing to each boy
(I did not speak Indonesian),
I asked them to take the 3 poses.
